Catching Up...St. Gallen

It has been way too long since I posted and now I am so far behind.  But this is one of my only ways of documenting what we are doing, so I am going back a few months.

In April we took a Saturday and headed to St. Gallen.  We walked through the city streets making our way to the Abbey Library and Cathedral.  The Abbey Library was amazing!  We saw books/manuscripts 1000s of years old.  And it was so beautiful too.  Along the way we did some shopping and some eating.  A great Saturday!

Of course we had to go for a ride on one of these.
 George and Alex walking along.

 The cathedral...beautiful!

Luzern with Grandma Gourley

We couldn't let grandma go home without showing her Luzern!  I think she loved the city as we do!
Of course we had to find a park to play at!

I love these painted cows...very Swiss!

Random Sweet pictures.

We just love our Clara.  This picture captures her sweetness for sure!  She was at lunch after a morning of skiing with her daddy...happy girl!
Alex using his Razor at the skate park.  He is getting some cool tricks down.
Sammy is always such a sweet big sister.  Here she is helping Clara up the ramp.  So kind!
Clara was a little too tired and fell into the toilet...such a laugh!
Allison loves playing babies.  Here she is pretending to sleep with them.  Precious!
Two sisters who look alike!  Clara put on Allison's make-up.
Allison holds her cheeks as she poops...makes us laugh!

Easter 2013

Easter was early this year and not at all Spring like, but we still got into the season.  We took some time to remember our Savior and his sacrafice for us and then we celebrate Easter Swiss style.

Our own cute little Easter Bunny!
Craft time--making Easter eggs with shaving cream and paint.
Clara loved to play in it and ended up with it up to her elbows!
Allison even got into the fun, but she didn't like her hands in it...too dirty.
Easter morning.  The kids had to follow the jelly beans to find their baskets.  Clara found hers.
Alex wasted no time in eating his peeps.  Some how the Easter Bunny had American candy:).
Sammy's was the hardest to find, but she did it.
Clara showing me what she got and sharing some of her treats.  She is always sweet to share!
Ali couldn't wait to eat some of her chocolate bunny!
Clara and Allison eating some of their bunnies...yummy Lindt chocolate!
A wonderful Easter dinner with family!

Spring Break-Trois Forets Center Parcs in Moselle Lorraine, France

We had a fabulous time at a fun resort in France for the week.  The kids played to their hearts content, ate and ate, & the crashed for the night!  We had a lot more pictures of things that we did, but George's camera was stolen so this is all we have.  But not pictured was paint balling, buffet eating, more swimming, & playing.

Allison & Clara did pony rides.  For 45 minutes Elene (George's mom) & George lead them around the park.  Poor Allison said her bum was sore 1/2 way in, so George carried her and lead the pony.  Also it was freezing that day.  There was no Spring weather.

Allison getting a ride...Clara was an excellent driver.

The swimming area was full of slides and different pools.  This was Allison's favorite.  Actually, all of them went on this one over and over again.  This is Sammy & Clara.

Getting ready for some serious ropes courses.
 Alex would try anything!
 Sammy loves the challenge.
 Allison's turn to drive.
They could all slide down at the same time.  Makes a mommy smile seeing their kids play together.
Climbing all over the play structured.  We couldn't even see Alex for an hour or so.
Just some horsen around at the farm.
This is what I did while everyone swam since I was a gimp.  Luckily, Allison can fall asleep anywhere if she is tired enough.
Notice Allison covering her eyes...doesn't want water in them.
 Clara all by herself!
This boy couldn't get enough of the slides.  He would only check in for a minute or two and then was off again.
The buffet was one of our favorite places to eat.  Everyone gets to eat what they want and then endless desserts.  On the last night the kids tried them all!

On our way home we stopped at a cute little French time and wandered through the cemetery.  It was amazing!  And so beautiful!

Our last stop was Strasbourg, France just over the border from Germany.  Such a beautiful city!  Can't wait to go back and explore some more.
