Easter Weekend

It was such a great experience having Easter weekend correspond with Conference (church meeting). It was relaxing and helped to keep the focus of Easter on the Savior.

The Smith's invited some families over for a wonderful Easter brunch on Saturday and a very organized easter egg hunt. The kids had a blast! There were even eggs with fake money in them that they could use at the "Bunny" store. So cute and so great to be with wonderful friends!

Easter morning...the kids are looking for jelly beans. When I was growing up my dad told us they were bunny poop showing all the places he went in our house...I decided to keep the tradition alive.

On Easter Sunday we had a wonderful dinner at the Buhlers. After dinner Kristen had a wonderful spiritual lesson about the symbols of Easter. The comment of the night was when Kristen asked what the egg stood for and Alex piped in and said, "Every time someone is resurrected they lay an egg." We all proceeded to bust up laughing and then he says, "Don't blame me...that's what my mom told me." Looks like I have some more teaching to do.

Spring Break

We had a wonderful Spring Break this year! We are lucky to live in the place where most people come for Spring Break, so we took advantage and did some fun things.

Sugar Sand Park...the carousel ride is a favorite of course.

We went to the Miami Seaquarium one last time with the Buhlers. It was a blast! Clara loved the dolphins, but not getting wet by them.

Of course there was a beach trip and some bike rides during the week, but no pictures were taken...I can't seem to watch all my kids at the beach and take their pictures without thinking someone will drown.

Time Out For Women

Yes, even this mom needs a time out some time. And I got one again this year going up to Orlando with some wonderful friends for TOFW. It was refreshing, inspiring, & a blast!

Valentine's Day

Eating our pink heart pancakes on Valentine's Day...a family tradition that the children love!

Frosting cookies that night. Clara consumed A LOT of frosting and Sammy thought it made the perfect shade of lipstick:)

Camera Found!

I can't believe I found my camera! I lost it at our church doing some project and some random guy from the other ward that shares our building handed it to a friend last Sunday. It has been over a month, but at least I didn't loose any pictures. Now Sammy is begging George for the old camera to be hers.

Uncle TR came to Miami several times in January and February and like a good uncle each time he came to stay with us for a few days. The kids really had a blast hanging out with him. And George had someone to play guitar and harmonica with.

Clara all dressed up in MY jewelry. She watches me get ready every morning and just couldn't help trying something on. All of a sudden she had almost every piece I own on. So cute!
