Summer Cont...4th of July

Our last 4th of July not only in Florida, but in the USA! So we decided to celebrate it Floridian style and went to the beach. It was wonderful. We played until the sun went down, ate a yummy dinner, & let snuggled and watched the fireworks explode over the Atlantic Ocean. And lucky us my mom was there to celebrate it with us!

Sammy and my mom made this delicious, festive dessert.

Early Birthday Party!

Since movers were coming the week of Alex and Sammy's birthday, we decided to celebrate them a week early! We had a ROCK-N-ROLL party with a few of their friends! It turned out great and the kids had a lot of fun. We ate pizza, decorated their own guitars, did a little Sing It on the Wii, had cake, & watched Camp Rock 2! Happy Birthday you two!

Nothing like yummy pizza for dinner!

The guitar cake...I was proud of my creation. I think it's the first time a themed birthday cake as actually turned out. It was blue and green for Sammy and Alex's favorite colors!

Everyone rocking with their guitars!

My two Rockers! They both love music and cake of course!

Summer continues

Happy Father's Day!

Sammy, Alex, Clara, and Allison are so lucky to have such a wonderful dad! A little breakfast in bed to say thank you for all you do! We love you!

A quick look at the summer...

Summer flew by! I guess that's what happens when you do a lot of fun things! So let's review...

Traveller Family Visit! We were so lucky to have my sister and her family come visit us in Florida! It was the perfect start to summer.
We headed up to Orlando for a few days and did Disney World. The kids loved it! I on the other hand, got incredibly sick (probably why there aren't very many pictures), but couldn't bring myself to just rest the hotel. I just didn't want to miss out. Clara had more fun than she could handle and we decided she won't be returning until she is a teenager.
Catching the tram into Magic Kingdom...we were all so excited!

Time for some spinning on the tea cups. Some how I got on the one with the boys and was a little sick afterwards. :)

Libby and Clara had to visit Mickey and Minney at Animal Kingdom. The bigger kids could have cared less, but they went on Everest many times! That is a great roller coaster.

I loved Epcot! The rides were so much fun and we loved seeing the different countries. However, this was also my worst day. I was so sick and Clara threw one of the biggest fits I have ever seen! Her stubbornness will help her some day.

They loved trying on hats from different countries...even George couldn't help himself.

So the rest of their visit was filled with swimming and beach! Two of my favorite things! They loved it! The kids got to be such good friends and created memories that will last a life time!
Boys in the pool...not teasing the girls for once.

Girls lounging around!

They played in the water for hours!

A little fun in the sand.

Watching a little Mr. Bean after a long day of swimming and the beach! We wore them out!

Switzerland!

George and I headed over to Switzerland in May for a quick trip. George was asked to do a rotation in Zurich for 3 years, so we went to check it out...and we decided we loved it and are moving in August!! Watch out Switzerland, here come the Gourleys!
There are amazing churches in Zurich sitting close to the lake. George and I climbed to the very top of one and looked over the city. The whole time I was thinking that this would never happen in the US...too many liabilities! :)

George eating a delicious schnitzels! The mustard sauce really cleared out your sinuses!

My favorite chocolates are Springli, which you can only get there!

And my favorite thing they make are these hamburger looking things...delicious!
