Utah Vacation-Hobbs Reunion-July/Aug '13

It is taking me forever to post all the pictures from our Utah adventures!  Thre is just so much to choose from and we had so much fun I don't want to leave anything out.  So, once we returned from Bear Lake we had a few days before heading to Idaho and a fabulous Hobbs Family Reunion.  Here is what we did...
Trafalga.  Not my favorite place, but we had some fun on the rides!

Jami ended up getting stuck in the waterfall and all 3 girls came out soaking wet!
I couldn't figure out how to stear that thing.
Ellie, Porter, & Clara went on this ride over and over again for about 30 minutes!
Not the best place for the little kids so they hung out with grandma in the shade.
Alex & Sammy trying to get each other wet.
Grandpa Gourley stopped by for a while!  Good to see him!

Hobbs Family Reunion!
The night we arrived we had a potatoe bar and frozen yogurt while the kids explored the great home of Jodi & Tony!
The next day was spent rafting down the Salmon River near Sun Valley, Idaho.  It was quite an adventure!
Boat #1...Some how they ended up with all the crying children:)
The kayakers!  Alex was so cold towards the end!
Boat #2-Except for Tony being our captain we did pretty great:)
That night we ate at a Mexican restaraunt in Sun Valley and then headed home.

The next morning was a nice walk to Shoshone Falls.

 The girl cousins!
Great grandma Searle stopped by for some birthday cake and a nice visit.  She shares a birthday with Alex.  It was great to see her!
 Afternoon water fun!

 Crazy, but they loved it!
Cousin photos!  We took a million and not one turned out, but that's the way it is with 18 kids!

Playing on the swings with Ellie and Autrey.
That night was the Cousin Carnival!
Uncle Jared was a great clown!
 Bean bag toss.
Ball Shoot

Tony was our cotton candy man!
Cotton candy as big as she is!
Face painting...Anndalynn is amazing at it.
 Out little puppy dog:)
 Photo Booth fun!
Sisters!
Shelby & Sammy
Love these ladies & Clara!
 Love this!
This was her second helping of cotton candy!

Next day a nice hike to balance rock.
The whole crew who made it to the top.
Exploring, lunch, & roasting marshmellows afterwards in the South Hills.
These two kids were always together!  He just love Sammy!
We couldn't find Allison and Tate for a while.  They were sitting in the dirt and covering themselves with it!  Messy cuteness!

Roasting marshmellows.  Alex likes his burnt:)
 Uwy, Guwy, Goodness!
 Yum!
 Hike to a waterfall!
That night was a movie night and treats!  Next day was Sunday with church and then driving back to Utah.  It was a perfect reunion!

The next day we headed back to Switzerland.  It was sad to leave, but with left with many wonderful memories!

Utah Vacation-Bear Lake

We were so lucky to get to spend a weekend at Bear Lake with the Gourley side.  It was great weather and fun company!  We had just picked up George from the airport the night before.  He was a little tired, but did a great job keeping up with us:).  Thanks to Jackie for a great place to stay and Nikki for the wonderful food.  The kids slept in the tent and the adults played games at night.  Can't wait for the next reunion!

A look at Bear Lake from the mountain above.
We parked the boat and then waded into shore.  Letting the kids play in the water and sand.  Alex seeing how fast he can run in the water.
 An action shot for George.
Playing with dad.  So great to have him back!
 Allison my little fish.
The girls trying to find deeper water.
 Oh sweet Clara.
The boat...what a great toy to have.
Why do all kids like to dig a big hole?
The little girls felt like putting sand on George...
...a little hard to get off:).
 Water play.
 Sand fun.
Alex was such a great sport and tried to water ski.  He was freezing and had the hardest time keeping his ski tips up while he waited for the boat to go.  He tried a couple times, but just couldn't get the hang of it.  I am proud of him for trying!
Sammy also tried to water ski and actually got up her first time.  But then had a few crashes and decided she was done.
 Walking back to shore.

The next day George decided to brave the cold water...he couldn't get his feet in the wake board:(.
We found the beach again.  They had teams that build forts and then had a sand fight to knock them down.  Uncle Ben even helped.
Sadly the weather turned and we rushed back to the dock before the rain hit.  We didn't make it!
 Still happy.
Trying to hide from the rain and wind as we rushed back.
Even with the rainy/windy ride the two little girls fell asleep.
Had to get raspberry shakes...Bear Lake is famous for them!

Duck, duck, goose at the park.

The sun came back out the next day so we headed to the lake again.
This time George brought dish soap to help get his feet in the wake board.
 Chillen on the boat!
 My sweetie and I!
 Kids up front.
A little dip in the water to cool off.
Who want to water ski?  No takers.
 Playing on shore.
Finally, tube time!  Abby, Katie, & Sammy.
Lizzy, Alex, & Lexie.  The girls said slower and Alex said faster.
The moms and the little girls.
You can't help but laugh while you are out there.
 George & Natalie.
 Getting a ride into shore.

 Sleepy babies.
 One more swim.
And then the rain hit again!  This time harder and colder.  But we made it back to the dock, got cleaned up and headed back to grandma Hobbs' house.  So many great memories!
