There isn't anything more Swiss to me than watching the the cows come down for their Alpine pastures for the winter months. They have a parade of them with loud bells & flowers. They happen all over Switzerland, but we went to Prattigauer Alp Spektakel in Seewis. We went with our friends, the Schulchters and had a great time!
The wagons full of breads & cheese come first followed by goats & sheep.
Then come the extremely loud cows running down the streets.
They aren't exactly tame and can come running right at you with the herdsmen trying to ring them in. One got so close it flung saliva all over us.
A little yodeling & traditional Swiss dress to make you feel even more Swiss pride! We loved it!
View from the streets of the town onto their little church.
Our little farmer.
The older kids had a blast playing in the hay. It was a mess to clean-up, but they couldn't help themselves.
