We spent a wonderful long weekend in Gruyere/Geneva area. Our first stop was the Gruyere Cheese Factory. We had a fabulous fondue lunch and then took a little tour to see how cheese was made. We were all shocked to see how much cows actually eat!

Then it was off to the Cailler Chocolate Factory. We watched a nice video on the history of chocolate in the area and then had a fantastic tour of the history of chocolate. It was just the right length for little ones.
We had someone take our picture in front of the factory...but he forgot to include the sign...you take what you can get.

After the tour they had a tasting room where you could taste to your hearts content. We all felt a little sick afterwards, but still couldn't stop eating.

After the buying lots of chocolate and souvenirs we headed to the old town of Gruyere. It was a short walk up the hill to a quaint medieval town.

Poor little Allison was all worn out after such a full day! We drove to our hotel in Lausanne and then had a nice dinner in the restaurant their.
She sure perked up after some ice cream:).
