Lausanne/Geneva-May Part 2

The next part of our weekend trip exploring the French speaking part of Switzerland was spent in Lausanne & Geneva.  There we went on a boat rider on Lake Geneva to the Chateau de Chillon, explored the castle, drove to Geneva, saw the UN, & city.  A great, quick trip to see more of this wonderful country, Switzerland!

While we waited for our boat to leave the kids played on this!
And while they played George and I enjoyed this beautiful scenery.
 Life isn't complete without a merry-go-round.

Taking in the view and the sunshine.
They always fight to sit next to dad.
 Chateau de Chillon
Everybody loves a suit of amor.
Alex sitting on the old toilets pretending to use it...such a boy!
We got head sets to listen to a self-guided tour.  The kids really liked it.
They let us explore all over that place.  Even up in the key.
It is always a good trip when Allison gets a short nap.
The view back to Lausanne and our hotel.

The next day we headed to Geneva.  This is us in front of the Twisted Cannon monument.  A great symbol of peace.
Broken Chair, which symbolizes the destruction land mines can do.  A great opportunity to talk to the kids about war and peace.
 United Nations!
Wishing we could go in!  Hard to find the American flag.
We took a quick scenic train ride.  Always entertaining.
Wandered the streets of the old town.
Ate a delicious pasta dinner at Spagetti Factory.
This one really enjoyed it if you couldn't tell.
